Mid-Autumn Festival (Mooncake Festival) in Singapore

What it marks

The Mid-Autumn Festival falls on the 15th day of the 8th lunar month, at the full moon. Families gather over mooncakes and tea, and children carry lanterns. It is not a public holiday in Singapore.

What's open and how it's marked

A normal working day. Chinatown is lit up and malls sell mooncakes for weeks beforehand; lantern displays run at Gardens by the Bay and Chinatown.
