Qing Ming (Tomb-Sweeping Day) in Singapore

What it marks

Qing Ming is when Chinese families visit and clean their ancestors’ graves and make offerings. It falls on the Qing Ming solar term, so it stays around 4–5 April each year. It is not a gazetted public holiday in Singapore.

What's open and how it's marked

A normal working day. Cemeteries, columbaria and temples — Choa Chu Kang, Mandai, Bright Hill — are very busy, especially on the two weekends either side.
